Comparatively little research has been conducted into the sleep and night-time care of twins and multiples, compared to the large amount of data for singleton babies. What research has been done is summarised here, beginning with a review of the evidence relating to co-bedding twins.

For advice on getting infants to sleep, and sleep safety for multiples, see the Twins and Multiple Births Association (TAMBA) website. We have worked with them to produce guidance on the sleep of twin / multiple infants and SIDS.
